Adagio for strings barber?

do you know any string pieces similar to adagio by Barber? i cant think of any...Adagio for strings barber?
Nothing of quite exactly the same 'emotional type', and nothing else for strings alone, I'm afraid.

The same deep and poignant lyricism pervades the first two movements of his Violin Concerto;

1st movement;

There is slow and lovely music for a woodwind quintet, ';Summer Music';

There is the famous and wonderful concert 'aria' Knoxville, Summer of 1915;

If you are disappointed in the lack of material for strings, I hope at least you can enjoy these other lyric modern romantic pieces.

best regards, p.b.Adagio for strings barber?
These aren't too dissimilar:

Richard Strauss - Metamorphosen (study for 23 solo strings)

It's divided here into three parts though it's one complete piece.

Edward Elgar - Sospiri (Adagio for strings,harp and organ)

Not one so profoundly sad - I don't think any exist. But in a way similar somewhat in the employment of strings; but portrays an utter desolation of spirit and mood, I would suggest the Act III prelude from Richard Wagner's ';Tristan und Isolde';(disregard first 10 secs.):

Alberich
Sure try the Tchaikovsky Serenade for Strings, slow part is lovely.
