I have just opened a barber shop, and i know how horibble it is waiting for you turn, what would ease the wait

1. Numbers that would allow customers to wait their turn in order if there are more than 5.

2. TV with sports channels on...sound on mute.

3. Magazines that cater to all tastes.

4.Clean shop, with pleasant smells of hair tonics.

5. Good lighting and seating for customers.

6.Daily Newspapers for reading

7. Music that is not intrusive.

8.Walls decorated with interesting pictures of Cars, Motorcycles, Sports Figures etc.

9. Clean bathroom for those waiting to use as needed.I have just opened a barber shop, and i know how horibble it is waiting for you turn, what would ease the wait
TV...if you can get it have a music channel or something onI have just opened a barber shop, and i know how horibble it is waiting for you turn, what would ease the wait
Hire a massage therapist and offer chair massages. TV is ok, but something other than talkshows. A good movie. Vending machines as ppl are often on lunch hours or too busy to eat.

Gd luck with your new business venture. I hope you love what you do!
What about a Playstation 2, and some good multi-player games?
TV and lots of magazines
Every national newspaper on a table in the waiting room
have more than 1barber
a vending machine filled with drinks and snacks or just a brew machine
A lap dance, barring that big screen TV or a complementary beverage, nice of you to enquire,I'm bald
tea, coffee, TV or radio. morning newspapers. good luck. It must be going well if you've got customers waiting
hey, i am only 14, but i have a saturday job at my uncles baber shop, and i know it can get very boring and people will be tempted to go or call back later even if you have to people waiting and one person cutting the hair so, if you get busy get more staff...but only do this if you can afford it....also a good TV and give them the remote so they can select what they want, and mags get some mags and have a new news paper every day!! oh and get a argos book!!( if you live in the uk)
pole dancer

They have dirty mags in the place I go to but I've never read them. However, I've noticed a lot of blokes read them whilst waiting and even during the cut - I wonder if they get erections whilst ogling the birds?
id say a ps2 with lotts of games, some magazines,i dont mind witing if its a/c and theres people to talk too...good luck!
In the old days barber shops used to supply musical instruments for their customers so that they could hold impromptu sessions while they waited. From this grew the tradition of the Barber Shop singing style.

Perhaps, instead of grubby copies of The Sun, you could have suitable sheet music available.

TVs in places where one waits (Chinese Takeaways and so on) are devilish annoying because one comes in halfway through a program and has to leave before it finishes, only to find that it finished before you got home.

One might go upmarket and have a CyberBarbers with several PCs for the use of customers. Indeed, one might even serve coffee - but I think there might be a problem with conflicting Health and Safety regulations there. Certainly soup would not be on (';Waiter, there's a hair in my soup!';).
Have a tv in the shop / playstation . Tea and coffee available etc
Really great mags and a nice-sized TV. Maybe some refreshments?
The best way to ease the wait is very simple. Keep some books, novels or magazines of your interest handy at your work place that you couldn't finish reading earlier due to your busy schedule and start reading them during the wait period before a new customers enters the shop. Play some good music of your choice. You will be killing two birds with one stone. Take care and be in good health.
Hi lots of recent magazines not dodgey old ones, refreshments and or a vending machine good music playing and good toys for children thats it you allow children into your barbers shop. If your shop is quite big, Maybe internet access would be good.
Some of their suggestions are very unrealistic. Just a good quality TV, up to date mags and newspaper is more than enough.
sky television in the waiting area?
Puzzles, movies, music, really good magazines
i think you should have magazine's out for them to look but of course have magazines appealing to men such as espn /sports magazines also offer them a cold drink nothing to ease the wait better than a cold drink and a good magazine
