What movies has the song Barber's Adagio for strings been used in?

Adagio for Strings was used in the films Platoon, A Clockwork Orange, The Elephant Man, Amélie, Al Norte del Corazón, Lorenzo's Oil and S1m0ne and being given an electronic treatment by Antiloop (In My Mind, 1997) William Orbit (a remix by Ferry Corsten sold well in both the US and the UK in 1999), DJ Tiësto, K-Complex, and Delerium (';Eternal Odyssey'; from 2003's Chimera) . It is also referred to in a key scene in Alice Sebold's bestselling 2002 novel The Lovely Bones. The music was used repeatedly in Platoon to add to the film's powerful and emotional intensity.

It was played at the funerals of U.S. Presidents Franklin Delano Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy, as well as at those of Princess Grace and Rainier III, Prince of Monaco.

The Agnus Dei has been heard in such different places as the computer game Homeworld (Mission 3 – ';Return to Kharak '; and part of Mission 16 – ';Hiigara';) to a 1992 episode of One Life to Live in which Megan is dying from lupus, to the part of Crime of the Century where Bruno Richard Hauptmann is bound to die in the electric chair, to the 10th season premiere of the television show ER (episode number 204 ';The Lost';, when Dr. Luka Kovač prays). The piece seemed appropriate for a memorial concert following the September 11, 2001 attacks. A portion of the piece was also heard in the HBO Memorial Day special In Memoriam - New York City 9/11/01. The Santa Clara Vanguard Drum and Bugle Corps played a shortened version of it in 2000.

A segment of the piece was also used on FOX's The Simpsons (episode: Strong Arms Of The Ma), and in the BBC's ';Fast Show';.

The piece was also featured in the South Park episode ';Up the Down SteroidWhat movies has the song Barber's Adagio for strings been used in?
