I want to go to a barber to get a taper fade but i dont know how to tell him i want it to fade on the sides?

do you want a skin fade or do you still wat hair on the bottom of the fade,,,,if you want a skin fade, tell him how high you want the fade....high skind fade,medium or low. If you want hair here are the guard sizes,,,,,1 is 1/8th of a inch, 2 is 1/4,3 is 3/8th, 4 is half of inch, 5 is 5/8th, 6 is 3/4 ths, 7 is 7/8ths, 8 is one inch. Also you need t know how long you want the top..all this and im a white barber LMAOI want to go to a barber to get a taper fade but i dont know how to tell him i want it to fade on the sides?
your barber should no what a taper fade is, if not he should not be cutting hair. Is your barber white? If he is I would suggest brining a picture of taper fade and if he is still unsure of how to do it just go to black/hispanic (preferably hispanic, similar hair texture) and ask for a taper fade.
