As long as he likes to be on the phone so much call him up and give him a quick direct peice of your mind and switch barbers. At the least you should get your money back.Whenever I send my 16 year old to the barber by himself the barber chats on the phone and cuts his hair...?
If I was the one getting my hair cut and that was happening, I would just leave. I keep my hair good and in place, not a ';screw cut';

Your son needs to learn how to stand up for himself, its not like he's a little boy he's 16 years old. You sound like an overbearing mother.

tell your son to speak up for himself. its his head. he shouldn't want to walk around with bald spots. tell the barber the problem when you drop your son off and tell him if your son has bald spots then you aren't going to pay him.
Tell him to speak up for himself. If he doesn't learn to tell them not to mess up his hair then he'll be taken advantage of in all kinds of different ways throughout his life.
I'd have a close friend show me how to do it at home... everyone knows someone who knows someone who knows how to cut hair... start asking around to your friends and family and find out... you can't trust others toc are as much about it as you do. Whether you send a note or not.
Find a new barber.
I would call the barber ahead of time and tell him the situation. I would also inform him that if my son comes home with bald spots I will be back in your shop and you will fix the hair cut and refund the money. If for some reason this doesnt work inform him you are turning him into the better business bureau (make sure you follow through empty threats are useless.) No child should have to go through what your poor son must be going through.
