Yes this movie is the adaptation of a Broadway musical. However, it is a great movie with an awesome plot. Johnny Depp did an amazing job with the acting as for the singing he did superb!!! He can sing (surprisingly ;) ) and the rest of the main characters are good as well. I totally recommend that you see this movie. Don't let the fact that it's a musical stop you because you would miss a great movie.

I haven't seen the movie myself yet, but all the reviews, and my freinds who have seen it, say that the performances are excellent.
YES it is the greatest movie in the universe...dont let the singing throw u...it just makes the movie better....i would def recommend this movie check it out!!

It was originally a stage play and the movie of it preserves its musicalness. Yes, Johnny Depp sings for most of it. He's not too bad either.

Yes, it's a musical. Yes, Johnny Depp sings. No, he's definitely not a professional singer. He holds his own okay, though. I kinda think it made him seem that much more cracked. It was amazing. Watch it.
