Was looking at some stuff on Sweeney Todd, the demon barber and found that.....?

I was looking at the lyrics in down by the sea, and found that Lovett says ';my rummpled bedding lagitimised';.. does that mean he was infact sleeping with her? She says this during the wedding scene.

And it could make sense as he is always calling her his love and pet, so if hes not sleeping with her or intimate in any way why would he say that? Was looking at some stuff on Sweeney Todd, the demon barber and found that.....?
down by the sea was mrs loveitts fantasy song.

so with the wedding, getting a place of their own, sleeping together...was all just what she wished would happen. Sweeney was still very much in love with his wife lucy so i doubt he would have started anything with mrs l

old cockney, people used to call each other pet and love most of the time to any (experience from grandads side)Was looking at some stuff on Sweeney Todd, the demon barber and found that.....?
I think its meant to be for the viewer to guess really. she sings about always having a liking for him, so i think we have to make up our own minds as to wether they have a relationship or not
She's just imaging their relationship together.

He calls her those because she's having good ideas that would help him.
In the film it seemed clear to me that they were friends and lovers
